She played as Liza in this drama that involves a young guy leading an older woman to exploring her past and a dark life-changing experience. Gemma debuted on stage at the Globe Theatre London. She played Rosaline in the play Love’s Labour’s Lost by Shakespear that day.

Her movie debut also happened in 2007 acting as Kelly, the head girl in the movie St. Trinian’s. She competed for and won the role against Sienna Miller.

She finished filming the movie RocknRolla early this 2008. The movie, directed by Guy Ritchie, is expected to be released in the US this October 2008. Gemma will be playing as June in this movie about a land deal scam by a Russian mobster. Gemma will also be in the TV mini-series Lost in Austen. This Dan Zeff directed series will be out in the UK this 2008 and Gemma will be playing as Elizabeth Bennet. Apparently, those are not enough because Gemma will also play as Frankie in the Jonathan Gershfield directed comedy called 3 and Out.

And finally, Gemma Arterton will also star in the latest James Bond production. Being the new Bond girl is really what is making Gemma very famous right now. Searches for her name in the Internet are increasing because people are trying to know who she is. The movie is still filming and Gemma is said to play the character Agent Fields, a quiet sizable role. Gemma beat about a thousand five hundred ladies for that role and she is really creating quiet a buzz. Her name is appearing in UK and US entertainment tabloids and being dug up in the Internet.

She is currently living in London with her boyfriend, a guy working in film production.
